Organ + Rock Sound
Title: Chang - The Best New Band In The Land
Date: March 2002
Author: Sean Worrall
Web site: www.organart.com

If they lived closer to London they'd be enjoying as much attention as Sikth are right now - Their new demo has just landed, here's some thought on it.

CHANG - Demo - More from the mighty bendy pronk metal makers from deepest South Wales - Fact one: Chang totally utterly rule, fact two; they rule even more now - seven fresh tracks that take all the finest elements of Mr Bungle/Duraforsog/Dazzling Killmen/Sikth and bend them in to new shapes that flow with just the right amount of fluid awkwardness and shouty pointy bendy confrontation. Demented maths metal for all your dog fashion disco days. Chang are right now one of the finest bands in the land, they're like dancing on the pointy tops of the sugar cane trees where the spaghetti grows towards the sun. And for all it's delightful hard-boiled awkwardness it's never ever too awkward to just enjoy with a great big mosh inducing shit eating grin - it's about going off and things. Chang are my favourite band, Chang are pure Organ fuel and Choke is the song of the year - yeah, I know, we should release this right now on ORG but hey, I can't even keep the Organ cat in cat food right now, her claws are in my leg and she's got that look again and enough of my problems, this Organ goes to the printers in two weeksm if we made it then you're reading this if we didn't then me and the small black cat starved whilst dreaming of releasing Chang records. Robot Chicken sounds like Dead Kennedys chasing Cardiacs around a field. Get Away From Me sounds like Dead Kennedys chasing Mr Bungle around a concrete block with a bloody great stick, Jesus this is glorious, let me turn it up loud so the whole street can hear. Monkey Flesh is preposterous... I got to do something about this, I just have to. CHANG ARE THE BEST BAND IN THE LAND.
