Bloody Hell. What year is this? What country is this? Chang's second seven-track demo strips down their sound to a skeletal clash of metallic elements, but they can't help sounding like any number of American bands, possibly from around 1989, possibly on Touch and Go Records. Neal Griffiths (** mistake methinks he means Dave), one of the most demented live performers you will ever see, barks unintelligible oaths like a dog informing its master of a landslide. Chang hopscotch through demi-jazz angularity, Black Flag basslines and occasional Dead Kennedys high drama. The reviewer mutters "Hmm. Laughing Hyenas, Unsane," to himself before vowing to get a life.
