Chang are the best band in the land! Not my words, but words from Sean Organ and he can know it of course! Chang are from Newport and that's Wales and be it pop, be it indie or be it in their case hardcore Welsh bands always sound a bit different and this new trio (they are together since 2000) do it a bit more different as this is more than just some brutal hardcore (...no problems with that though) as they mix some unusual soundscapes in their sound...a track like "Chimney Sweep" had a sort of trip-hop sound pattern while a song like "Robot Chicken" is like Primus on speed. They´ve been compared with No Means No, Dead Kennedys and System Of A Down and I think you can actually compare them with any brutal band you know but you´ll never will hear such an intense (and weird!) singer as Dave and not many hardcorebands see music through such original eyes as they do. No, Chang are not the best band in the land for me, but really ask me to come up with the most original (and goodsounding!) bands I heard recently and changes are big Chang will be among them! In some time they probably will end up where bands like One Minute Silence are now....on the top!
