Chang make relentless street-fighting punk. Running Black Flag up the pole and craftily saluting Chaos UK, the band are a taut, hard-as-nails unit from Newport. Their singer - pointy bald head, arms thick with tattoos, eyes enhanced with make-up - has a touch of the night about him and a dead-waking howl. You wouldn't want to meet them in a dark alley, but, strangely, being pushed up to their faces in a packed cellar as they attempt to sonically destroy the joint is actually life-affirming.
